Article Requests from Other Libraries

Log into ILLiad Interlibrary Loan and follow the instructions. First-time users will be required to set up a personal ILLiad account.

Request Limits

You may submit as many requests as you need. However, ILL staff may not be able to process more than 5 of your requests per day.

Delivery Time

The amount of time it will take for you to receive materials from other libraries will vary. Certain items may be difficult to obtain due to their limited availability from lending libraries.

Arrival Notification

When your item arrives, the Library will send a message to your NEIU e-mail account. You may also log into My NEIU Library Account to view the status of your book requests from I-Share libraries or ILLiad Interlibrary Loan to view the status of your book requests from libraries that are not I-Share members and your article requests.

Pickups

To pick up an item, bring your NEIU ID to the Circulation Desk on the 1st floor of the Ronald Williams Library.

Articles will be delivered as PDF files. The Library will e-mail your NEIU account with full instructions.
