Loan Periods
Faculty members determine the circulation period for an item on reserve. Options include:
- 2 hours: Library use only,
- overnight: check out after 4 p.m., return by 10:15 a.m. the next day,
- one week.
Please note that many articles have been placed on e-reserve and are available online.
Renewals
You can renew items by calling (773) 442-4404 or ext. 4404, unless:
- there is a hold on the item,
- it is for overnight use,
- it is overdue.

Please return all reserve items to the Reserve Desk on the 1st floor of the Ronald Williams Library. Drop-off boxes may not be used.
Borrowing Limits
You may borrow up to 5 reserve items at any one time.
Holds on Reserve Items
Yes, some reserve items may be placed on hold. Call (773) 442-4404 or ext. 4404 to see if you can place a hold on the item you need.
